Tele5 runs a late night flirt show: a transmission in which viewers can use the TV screen as a flirting and dating platform. Contact details are sent to the show by SMS and MMS for transmission. These are visualised with the help of a message and picture filtering editor system via dynamic graphic insertion into the playout centre of Tele5.

FiveCast was commissioned to create the playout system as well as the editing tools for chatting, voting and matching contacts. FiveCast`s proprietary SMS processing and management system was used together with the iServer. This multi-client enabled middleware system is the interface between the SMS provider and the TV transmitters. It is linked via common interfaces to all the leading SMS providers in Germany, boasts an internal keyword and user administration of its own and already offers all standard applications for innovative iTV formats with integrated modules for chatting, voting, gaming, bingo, couponing and 1:1 matching.
