National Vetting symposium 2026 – Principal Sponsor

Fivecast is the Principal Sponsor of the National Vetting Symposium 2026, following our appointment as one of two suppliers on the BlueLight Commercial OSINT Social Media Screening Framework.
Visit us on stands 2 & 3 to see how organisations across policing and the wider public sector are adopting compliant, intelligence-led approaches to social media screening for vetting and safeguarding.
About the event
UK policing is undergoing one of the most significant periods of reform in police vetting for a generation. The implications of the R (Di Maria) v Metropolitan Police Commissioner ruling, alongside the introduction of the new Police (Vetting) Regulations and forthcoming amendments, represent a fundamental shift in the legal and operational framework underpinning how forces assess integrity, risk, and suitability to serve.
This evolving landscape brings both pressure and opportunity. As policing adapts to new legislative expectations and drives greater national consistency, it is vital to retain the professional judgement, ethical foundations, and effective practices already embedded within vetting units. Reform should strengthen these foundations, not replace them.
The symposium will explore how to build a resilient and consistent vetting model across forces, bringing together practitioners and stakeholders to examine current challenges and future requirements. It will consider how emerging technologies and data capabilities can support better decision making, improve efficiency, and strengthen risk identification, with a focus on responsible, long-term transformation.
Supporting modern vetting with intelligence-led insights
Vetting teams are managing increasing volumes of publicly available data, while maintaining the need for consistency, accuracy, and defensible outcomes.
Fivecast supports this process by enabling investigators to efficiently collect and analyse publicly available online information, helping organisations make informed decisions with confidence.
BlueLight Commercial Framework
The BlueLight Commercial Framework provides UK policing and public sector organisations with a compliant and streamlined route to access trusted open-source intelligence capabilities for vetting and safeguarding.
As one of two appointed suppliers, Fivecast supports organisations looking to enhance their approach to vetting within a governed and accountable framework.
Speaker Session
Fivecast will deliver a 15-minute session at 11:15 – 11:30 on 1st June exploring ‘Efficiency and consistency in social media screening.’
This session will examine how structured analysis of publicly available online information can help reduce complexity within OSINT checks, improving efficiency, consistency and auditability. It will highlight how a more structured approach supports both local and national vetting requirements.
