MONITORING ORGANIZED & FINANCIAL CRIME
Organized crime groups vary in structure, size and reach and rely increasingly on online technologies to communicate and proliferate their illicit activities. Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) is fundamental to understanding how and where these groups are communicating online and uncovering potential risks hidden in masses of online multimedia data.
This case study examines an Australian Outlaw Motorcycle Gang with international reach to demonstrate how OSINT can support both criminal investigations and enhanced customer due-diligence requirements of financial institutions.
