TRACKING TRANSNATIONAL ORGANIZED CRIME

Identifying groups associated with transnational organized crime (TOC) and tracking their activities online is more important than ever. Government and private organizations countering transnational organized crime face unique challenges caused by porous national borders and ease of access to online communications technologies.

In this case study, we use the example of the Sinaloa Drug Trafficking Cartel to show how advanced open-source intelligence capabilities can discover and monitor the digital footprint of actors, groups, and networks to rapidly identify transnational organized crime activity across multiple languages and countries.
