Keynote SPEAKER:
Lieutenant General John (Jack) N.T. Shanahan (USAF, Ret.)
Center for a New American Security (CNAS) Adjunct Senior Fellow
Intelligence in the age of AI
Jack will draw on his extensive military and intelligence experience—including leading the standup of two pioneering AI organizations within the Department of Defense—to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming intelligence collection and analysis. He will highlight the growing importance of open source intelligence and the need for innovative public-private partnerships to fully realize AI’s potential. As AI becomes an indispensable asset to the intelligence enterprise, the effectiveness and reliability of future intelligence efforts will depend on the national security community’s ability to adopt, adapt, and integrate AI-enhanced capabilities. In the future, AI won’t just augment, accelerate, and automate every phase of the intelligence cycle—it may also challenge and inspire human analysts in ways we can scarcely imagine today.
FEATURED SPEAKERs:
OSINT and Human Factors
This session will delve into the role human factors play in open source intelligence (OSINT). Using case studies focused on information operations, Dr. Q will highlight the intricate balance between human psychology, data, and technology—foundational elements needed to produce actionable intelligence. The session will focus on the importance of understanding the intelligence cycle, OSINT consumers, and OSINT practitioners’ decision-making processes. Human factors enable collaboration across disciplines, foster innovation, and contribute to a robust OSINT workforce that enhances national security and informational integrity.
Dr. Sandra Quincoses-Campos (Dr. Q)
OSINT Practitioner, Instructor & Enthusiast
